Grades Are IN!

Had a nice lunch with Mom today, she was in town buying a lavender dress for the wedding. Decided to blow some more time and show her where my new apartment is, before coming back to Moritz. Funny coincidence as I pulled up since Shipman was walking by and my mom wanted to meet him. Now she knows the infamy. I am basicaly on independent study from him for the next week and a half as he wraps up his summer BA class. Yawn. Filling hours.

Oh and grades came out today as expected last week. Con Law was a high B and I tied for the highest grade in Legal Writing, so I MADE JOURNAL....woot. Well at least JDR, and if I get on main journal by the competition so be it (I'm grading around 20-25 percentile approxiamtely so I will not be grading on for sure). I'm actually really happy about my Con Law grade since it was above average and I blew off that class to high heaven. So much so that I went out and bought a supplement before the test to study with, and I think that was desperate. Of course with his exam I think he could've thrown them down the steps to determine grades since we were up all night finishing that beast of a one day take-home. Contracts was awful but since Crandall quit on us and screwed us over on the final I don't really care. A good semester, and now I'm officially a 2L.

My schedule for next year for reference:
FALL
Appellate Advocacy with Beazley - R 9-9:50
Accounting For Lawyers with Shipman - MTW at 2-2:50
Federal Income Taxation with Samansky - MTWR at 3-3:50
Patent Law with Mesher - MW at 4-5:15
Copyright Law with Lee - TR at 4-5:15
WINTER
Business Associations with Cole - MTWR at 10-10:50
Civil Procedure II with Greenbaum - MTW at 11-11:50 (waitlist, but he said I'd probably get in)
Evidence with Simmons - MTWR at 1-1:50
Trademark Law with Lee - TR at 4-5:15
Seminar on State Constitutional Law with Judge Sutton T 5:30-7:30

If I do not get into Civ Pro II, I will hopefully get into Greenbaum's Professional Responsibility course at 2-2:50 MTW. Either works fine and I'm on the waitlist for both, so we'll see which hole in my schedule gets plugged.

Up some more on poker, well above my $450 buy-in total and pretty stable now. So hopefully I keep going up...never hurts to make a little money. The Magic cards haven't been touched all week...better get on those or else I will not be able to Ebay the recent ones before the honeymoon.

Best news of the day: no anxiously awaiting at the mailbox to see if I made a journal. God bless legal writing (at least today).

Now that we have boldly gone through law school, it's time to boldly go where no patent lawyer has gone before! An autobiographical journal covering 7 years at The Ohio State University, traveling from a mechanical engineering undergrad degree to the Ohio Bar Exam
